EMBRACE THE UNCONVENTIONAL
A new kind of church, planted in a Kansas bar.
For sinners, misfits, doubters, and dreamers.
Just like us.
WHY START A CHURCH IN A BAR?
because it’s where Jesus would hang out.
Outcast is for anyone who has ever felt like they don’t belong, who longs for friendship and community,
who needs a reminder that God is good and has a unique purpose for them—-
all in a laid-back environment where we take Jesus seriously, and ourselves, well, not-so-much!
We are God’s people who love Jesus, great music and love each other.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Our house band is made up of seasoned musicians, bringing God praise through country, jazz, classic rock, blues and every other secular genre in addition to top Christian music. Music at Outcast is part of the message, it does not disappoint!
-
We embrace questions, wrestle with doubt, and pursue truth without fear. To learn from each other, share stories and discover how those stories intersect with God’s sacred story.
-
We’re more than Sunday mornings—we’re a family walking through life together. With small groups, community outreach and discipleship paths for all ages. We are the church, living in community as the Body of Christ.
“If you HAVEN’T FOUND a church home AND FEEL like YOU DON’T belong-we invite you to join us BECAUSE What you bring to the world is important, AND THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE created you for a bigger purpose!…and guess what? We already love you.”
— Pastor Jeni Anderson
ABOUT US
-
I'm so excited about what God is doing at Outcast Church and I'm glad you're part of the journey!
My years of experience as a pastor, worship leader, and designer have fueled in me the passion to create new ways for us to experience God and help others find meaningful ways to serve. I'm an "out-of-the-box" thinker, and believe that we can find Jesus in our ordinary lives and circumstances. Jesus brings new meaning and shines light in our world that speaks to us right where we are, just as we are.
My husband and I have been married for 40 years and been together longer than that!—we were high school sweethearts and we have three adult sons and one beautiful daughter-in-law. As with all of us, the many roles we play are all a part of what makes us who we are and shape us into who God has called us to be.
We all have a story to tell and as we learn each other’s stories, I believe we grow closer to one another, and when we are closer to one another, we grow closer to God. I continue to be amazed at how each of our stories intersect with God's sacred story, the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are called to live sacrificially, to take care of one another, to be the exception rather than the rule and to find opportunities to love and lift up one another in our shared journey as God's beloved people...I look forward to hearing your story.

At Outcast Church, we believe in the transformative power of God's unconditional love, a love so profound that it compels us to seek out those often overlooked and marginalized. We are a community built on the radical inclusion demonstrated throughout the scriptures, committed to living out the heart of Jesus who consistently sought to restore and uplift the outcast.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father, our loving Creator, desires a personal relationship with each of us. Jesus Christ, the Son, is our Lord and Savior, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, conquering death and offering salvation to all who believe. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life devoted to God, guiding us into truth and equipping us for service.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, providing the ultimate guide for faith and life. It is through the Scriptures that we discover God's character, His promises, and His redemptive plan for humanity.
We believe that humanity, though created in God's image, fell into sin, separating us from our Creator. However, God, in His boundless mercy, provided a way back through Jesus Christ. We believe in the redemptive power of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus, not by works, leading to new life and eternal fellowship with God.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to be a beacon of hope and healing in the world. We are committed to being a church that actively pursues the lost, reflecting the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one (Matthew 18:12-14). Just as Jesus offered living water to the Samaritan woman at the well, transforming her life of isolation into one of purpose and connection (John 4:4-42), we are dedicated to offering spiritual nourishment and genuine community to all who thirst for it, regardless of their past or present circumstances.
We believe in the transforming power of community, where brokenness is met with grace, and individuals are empowered to discover their true identity and purpose in Christ. We are committed to fostering an environment where authenticity is embraced, vulnerability is welcomed, and everyone finds a place to belong, grow, and serve.
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ and the ultimate establishment of His Kingdom, where justice, peace, and righteousness will reign supreme. Until then, we are called to be His hands and feet, actively participating in His redemptive work on earth, demonstrating His love, and sharing His message of hope with the world.
This is our faith. This is Outcast Church.
