Since opening our doors just five months ago, Outcast Church has seen a remarkable outpouring of support and experienced a powerful and unique impact across Northeast Kansas. From Shawnee to Jefferson, Douglas to Johnson counties, and even reaching into Jackson County, Missouri, the common, heartfelt theme we hear is: "Thank God there is a church that speaks to me." It’s music to our ears…and to God’s.

You are the crucial part of this movement. You have seen how our distinctive approach is reaching people where they are—not just within four walls, but online and out in the community.  You’ve shared our story, emotionally lifted us up with your love, financially sustained us,  and with your most precious gift – your time and talent allowed us to show the community the Word in action.

Look at What We’ve Built Together

In less than six months, we’ve moved mountains (and locations)! Here is a snapshot of the incredible impact your support has created:

  • We Got Up & Running: We built a team with expertise in worship, nonprofit administration, technology, evangelism and congregational care.

  • We Filled the Room: In less than six months, we outgrew our initial location at Elmo’s Tavern, leading us to our new, more spacious home at Wayne & Larry’s.

  • We Fed Souls & Bodies: We launched our Crowded Table dinner group and held our first Advent Bible study.

  • We Showed Up: We were the only church at the Annual Taste of Lawrence event, meeting 700+ people, handing out our signature cookies and Taste & See wristbands, as well as reminding passers-by that everyone needs a “little Jesus”!

  • We Served the Community: We held a community outreach fundraising rummage sale, delivered nearly 2,500 bottles of water to Jubilee Café, met new friends from the North Lawrence Improvement Association, participated in a Trunk-or-Treat for 200+ neighbors, and even fueled karaoke nights with snacks from friends at Outcast Church.

The Vision for 2026:

As we look ahead to our first full year, our vision for 2026 is to transition from a "start-up" phase to becoming a sustained and powerful force for good. We are just getting started, and here is the direction we're headed:

  • Stability: Move to fully self-sustaining operations through Sunday offerings.

  • Connection: Launch new small groups, including bible studies, special interest and recreational options.

  • Discipleship: Develop and implement ongoing discipleship programs.

  • Outreach: Expand our mission opportunities to offer help and hope to those in need.

Your Continued Support

To turn this vision into reality, please prayerfully consider two ways to help via the enclosed 2026 Estimate of Giving Card.

1.     Regular Offerings. Consistent weekly or monthly support is what allows us to plan. It keeps the church moving forward and the ministry active. We ask that you confirm or increase your commitment for 2026 so we can properly staff and budget for the year ahead.

2.     One-Time Start-Up Gift. As a new church, we have specific, non-recurring needs—like equipment, administrative infrastructure, and seed money for outreach.

  • Our Goal: Raise $25,000 in one-time gifts.

  • The Impact: This will bridge the gap between "surviving" and "thriving," ensuring we have the tools to reach all who need a fresh look at a timeless message of hope

Thank You

Your commitment of a weekly offering, a one-time gift, or both, ensures that Outcast Church can continue to carry the Good News of Christ’s love and redemptive power to Northeast Kansas and beyond.

We couldn’t do this without you—thanks for helping to build the Kingdom.
