Outcast is for anyone who is looking for “my people”. A relaxed environment where we take Jesus seriously, and ourselves, well, not-so-much! We are God’s people who love Jesus, good music and love each other.

want to explore faith in an honest, creative, and radically welcoming environment.
We’re hoping to convert a closed bar in North Lawrence into a new kind of sacred space—
where faith and questions live side by side.

All of us have felt like an outcast in our lives at one point or another. But there are people in our community who have spent their entire lives feeling like, or being told they do not belong. There are people we walk past everyday who are longing for connection, who have never experienced the life-changing power of unconditional love and who just long to be seen.
That is where we, as followers of Jesus Christ come in—to love others, as we are loved, no matter where they’ve been or what they’ve done. There is no one beyond the reach of God’s grace.
That is why this church plant is so important—to let people know that Jesus has moved into their neighborhood and wants to hang out, create a relationship and maybe hang-out together.
WHY THE NAME“OUTCAST”?
Jesus loved the outcasts and so should we. Keep in mind, when we talk about outcasts, we’re ultimately talking about ourselves. We were the outcasts. We once were distant from God. We were foreign to His promises and His presence, yet through the sacrifice in Christ, we are reconciled and brought near. We are made part of the eternal family of God. Jesus showed respect to the disrespected, and He blessed those who could offer Him nothing in return. This is the heart of Jesus Christ, and by faith in Him, empowered by His grace, may this also be the heart of Outcast Church.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Relevant, creative, always powerful yet entertaining messages as well as weekly opportunities to experience God in new and powerful ways.

Our house band is made up of seasoned musicians, bringing God praise through country, jazz, classic rock, blues and every other secular genre in addition to top Christian music. Music at Outcast is part of the message, it does not disappoint!

We embrace questions, wrestle with doubt, and pursue truth without fear. To learn from each other, share stories and discover how those stories intersect with God’s sacred story.

We’re more than Sunday mornings—we’re a family walking through life together. With small groups, community outreach and discipleship paths for all ages. We are the church, living in community as the Body of Christ.
